...yes! Strictly hush-hush!! I'd like to add, that it requires a program that can open the .rar file. Don't remember the name right now.

I'd like to add, that it requires a program that can open the .rar file. Don't remember the name right now. The program name is "WinRAR" and it's available at www.winrar.comassuming you're running a Windows based PC. If you're using a Mac or Linux, winrar's probably not the answer but googling winrar will probably locate some alternative.

I use a Mac, and it's called RAR Expander VO.8.4 And it can be found here: rarexpander.sourceforge.net/Take a look around and find the version that suits the software on your mac.

I looked and didn't see anything that addressed the legality of the downloads. Don't guess they have anything I need bad enough to use the site.

Hey Dulcimike. Maybe you didn't look hard enough. There are loads and loads of old time music, as well as old blues, jazz, hawaian, hillbilly swing etc.etc.

Ooh! Very interesting. However the www.zshare.net downloads seem fine but I'm a bit concerne about the www.gigasize.com ones which look suspiciously like they are trying to take over my pc. Maybe not but I'm suspicious... Nick

Hey Dulcimike. Maybe you didn't look hard enough. There are loads and loads of old time music, as well as old blues, jazz, hawaian, hillbilly swing etc.etc. Doesn't make much difference what they have if they aren't legal downloads. And since they don't make a point of saying they are....they have nothing I need. Besides, I have recordings of so many more Old-Time tunes now that I haven't learned that getting more doesn't make much sense. (So many tunes, so little......)
