I live in Massachusetts in the USA...
I'm an amateur OT fiddler - started playing in earnest about 2 1/2 years ago. I thought I'd be able to do it in 2 years, but it's going to take longer than that. I'm hopiing I'll have most of it under control by next summer - though it looks like it'll take 4 or 5 years to really play the thing.
I'm mostly interested in the Southern US OT dance repertoire up through about 1940 - Skillet Lickers, Ed Haley, Tommy Jarrell, Eck Robertson, etc.
But I have relatives and friends in Missouri, Arkansas and Texas so I sometimes get distracted into other styles...
