Hey folks I'm Axel.. and I'm an Oldtimeholic. I love Oldtimemusic especially when I reach the point of no return.. When a tune has been played for so long time that I am allmost in a trance. That's the groove I'm going for!!!! I have been playing this music since 66 ( 1966 that is ) Had a brother in law who worked in Greenland on an American base. He gave me some records with Stanley Brothers, Hank Williams and different Oldtime records. And I was hooked. I play Guitar,Dobro, Mandolin and Bass. Beside this I love to sing, and do it as much as I can.... I play a lot of Squaredance jobs in different styles of music: New England, French/ Canadian, Rags and offcourse Oldtime I'm a member of The Barking Bulldogs- Mineola Band- Kannes Danceband and The Possum Whackers. I'm also a " Folkie" in a danish folkband called Troubadourbanden. I'm looking forward to be with y'all in this forum Greetings Axel

Ha Ha, so your an Old Timer in more ways than one, eh Axel! ;D I guess you must be a real animal lover too, what with all them Possums & Bulldogs! But seriously, it's great to have you with us. Yet another active member from the European capital of Old Time! Yeeee Haaaaw ;D So you sing Axel, but hey, do you also write songs? If so, how's about writing an Old Time Song which includes two of my favourite phrases? "Tough Titty Little Kitty But The Milk's Run Dry"& "Don't be puttin dat bacon greeze on meh toilet seat"Cheers Dick

Tough little Kitty but the milk's run dry Asked her mother for the reason why? Well my child, there's a udder on a Cow but under that Bull there's just a plow
My english is very rusty so if it sounds wrong that the reason :-)
