I'm based in the UK I've been playing Clawhammer banjo since 1970. I currently play for an Appalachian dance team, Leap to your Feet. www.leaptoyourfeet.co.uk/index.html I also do some banjo tuition. My style tends to be towards the melodic/drop thumb end having learnt substantially from the John Burke book. My all time favourite player is probably Tommy Thompson, with the Red Clay Ramblers probably my favourite band. I originally got into OTM through the Hollow Rock String band. I own a 1920's Whyte Laydie, a Gibson RB250, an Ome Juniper, a Wildwood Troubadour, a Goldtone EBT and a Matthews Fretless set up with Minstrel strings. I also play some stroke style, and can 'cluck' if pushed.
