I just received a special request today from one of our members, to provide a new Board, where folks can chat about absolutely anything they feel like, at all, at all, EXCEPT Old Time Music of course ....... so here it is. I'm sure members here have lots of other strings to their bow, which others might enjoy hearing about & chatting about, so I hope you enjoy this wee corner .... make of it what you will. ;D Cheers Dick P.S. Baloney ~ Nonsense Blether ~ To engage in conversation, long-winded or idle talk Blarney ~ The "Gift of the Gab" Chit-Chat ~ Light conversation; casual talk; gossip.

I think it's nice to have a spot where you can just chit chat with the other members, after all also oldtime lovers are human beings with a need for fellowship and isn't it nice to get to know the other forum members a bit or is that a very feminine opinion? Actually there aren't other sites for that, because most sites are focused around certain topics and few of them actually have some "general" board. However I'm sure that if noone uses this board, Dick will remove it.

Hey Dick. That's a good idea. You say we can talk about anything? We can say if we think that George W. Bush is an idiot? And it might be a good idea if Obama becomes president? You say we can talk about anything BUT old time music. Does it mean we can talk about other kinds of music? I for instance love jazz music of many kinds and have loads of records with it. Sadly I can't play it. Now you learned that about me. Hope my karma won't go down because of that ;D By the way I've got a new...oh, I almost forgot. That belongs somewhere else. See you all there

I think Susi had a great idea with this new Board, so of course we should run with it & just see how it pans out. So yes ~ anything .... within reason Jesper! But hey Politics & Jazz sounds like a pretty good start, so if your into those topics, go for it. .... & hey, don't worry about your Karma going down Jesper, just so long as your Chicken Korma goes down smoothly! ;D Cheers Dick

Does that mean, OT that you do not like people who think that he is not an idiot. I do not think that the man is an idiot. But I think that he is not the right one for the job. Never was. I think that Nixon was one of the best Presidents of United States. And so was Reagan. The right person in the chair at that time. I think The English Kitchen was saved when the Indian dishes was brought back to England by the soldiers. Hot dishes in a foggy land. I love Haggis and Talisker. My beer is Newcastle Brown Ale. I smoke Scotsman and I dislike newborn christians. I think that violins should be made with a sordin permanent installed. cheers, John

;)I have lots of American friends that I love dearly even if they love G.W Bush... Their political ideas don't have to do with it... I don't agree with my husband's political ideas either, but I love him anyway.
Still it's always nice to meet people who agree that mr Bush sucks...

John you say it's coma not korma Is coma the state you get in when you eat the dish? ;D And regarding the politics, maybe Bush is not an idiot, but that makes it even worse to have him as president. It means he's a well calculated disaster. He and his government has been a catastrophy, not only to the american people, but to the rest of the world as well. Nixon was maybe a good president, when it comes to foreign policy. He made the relations to China better than it had ever been before, but this can't cover the fact that the man was a dirty lying crook, who used criminal acts to get into the White House. And I don't understand how you can say Reagan was one of the best presidents?!! Maybe you, as a lot of other people have fallen for the myth that he was the one who put an end to the cold war. He didn't! It was Gorbatjov. If he had not been there at the time the wall in Berlin wouldn't have been brought down. It might still have been there. What else did Reagan do to deserve to be called a good president. In my eyes, nothing!!

Hey John, I had a quick look at that sight & clicking on the Nudist photo I saw a photo of, what looked like an outdoor religious service with a completely naked congregation! I can just picture the Rev Ian Paisley here preaching to a congregation of Nude Ballymena folk! ;D ;D ;D ;D They are so strict around Ballymena that for many years they actually locked up the children's play parks every Sunday, because Sunday was not a day for fun! You see, we have a saying over here that it's OK for Presbyterians to do absolutely anything they want to do ..... just as long as they don't enjoy doing it! ;D Of course I can say that, having been brought up as one myself! As for Policemen, for the past few years I have played Fiddle with a Fiddling Policeman once a week, in a local Pub session here. He's like myself ...a non believer, but over here in Ulster you are just not allowed to be simply an Atheist ........ you must be either a Catholic Atheist or a Protestant Atheist! Cheers Dick

Is it just me, or are their others who find it kind of funny, that if Obama becomes the next president, USA will have a president, by the name Hussein. It's his middle name. President Hussein. How does that sound ?
