This is the place to post links to your favourite Old Time DVDs
However, the ones posted here are for Region 2 which means folks here in the UK & Europe can play them with our standard DVD Players.
So, here are two to get us started.
N.B. The first one comes recommended by deleuran.

SHADY GROVE: OLD TIME MUSIC FROM NORTH CAROLINA, KENTUCKY AND VIRGINIA
This DVD presents poignant and exciting musical performances by four highly expressive and individualistic makers of traditional old time country music.
Although Kilby Snow, Dock Boggs, Tommy Jarrell, and Roscoe Holcomb played music that in some ways was typical of the regions in which they spent their whole lives, they also were astonishingly inventive.
Their influence has been very far reaching, extending far beyond their communities, and effecting the minds and works of mainstream popular musicians, as well as the playing of far-flung old time music practitioners.
Here is the only known footage of Dock Boggs singing his classic mountain blues and playing his signature banjo style; the intense and original "high lonesome" singing of Roscoe Holcomb, playing both banjo and guitar; Kilby Snow's moving vocal and brilliant autoharp playing.

LEGENDS OF OLD TIME MUSIC
Featuring: Clarence Ashley, Roscoe Holcomb, Tommy Jarrell, Doc Watson, Clint Howard, Fred Price, Pete Steele, Sam McGee, Jean Ritchie and Others.
During the folk music revival which spanned the late 1950s to the 1970s, legendary old-time traditional artists were rediscovered, and previously unheard exponents of this tradition were found and brought to perform at folk festivals.
It was an exciting epoch which coupled "living legends" like Clarence Ashley and Tommy Jarrell with younger incarnations of the old-time spirit (New Lost City Ramblers, Red Clay Ramblers, etc.)
This rare video collection presents some of the finest old-time musicians playing in a variety of styles.
Titles Include: Roscoe Holcomb: Across the Rocky Mountain, Little Birdie, Graveyard Blues, Little Grey Mule, John Hardy; Clarence Ashley: Free Little Bird, The Cuckoo; Sam McGee: Wheels, Mississippi Sawyer; Doc Watson, Clint Howard & Fred Price: Way downtown, Daniel Prayed, Lee Highway Blues; Pete Steele: Pay Day at Coal Creek, Coal Creek March, Galilee; Sommers, Young & Holcomb: Red Apple Rag, Bile Them Cabbage Down, Grey Eagle; Tommy Jarrell: John Henry, Drunken Hiccups, John Brown's Dream; Corbett Grigsby: Pretty Polly; Jean Ritchie: The Cuckoo; The Walker Family: Bowling Green, Hangman, Rollie True Love, I'll Be Somewhere Listening; Jean and Edna Ritchie: My Pretty Little Miss, The Four Marys.

Down From The Mountain
(Jesper wrote) I think it wouldn't be too far out to mention the wonderful DVD Down From The Mountain. I'ts a live concert and a documentary with the artists who made the music to the Coen brother's movie O Brother Where Art Thou.
Just to see and hear Ralph Stanley sing O Death can bring tears to your eyes. It's one of those documentaries that leaves you feeling extremely well afterwards.

Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop
(Jesper wrote)I'm exited, because today I recieved three DVD's that I had ordered at Stephan Grossman's guitarworkshop department in UK.
The have a collection of historic and concerts DVD's, and recently I found three DVD's with Doc Watson, that I didn't have. At first I didn't know if I dared to order them, because there were no information about the coding, but earlier experiences with Stephan Grossman DVD's told me that they were made in All Regions, and they certainly were >>whew<<
The adress for the DVD collection is: (See Below!)
And the DVD's were: Doc Watson. Rare performances 1963-1981

"Legends of Traditional Fingerstyle Guitar"
"Legends of Flatpicking Guitar"
And more.
Take a look for yourself.
