Found it. Aye, she's a talented wee lassie all right, but I must admit, her music is just far too Bluegrass/Country for my own taste. Anyway, here's the link. See what you think. Cheers Dick Becky Buller - Little Bird

I like her. But I also have a soft spot for good bluegrass I admit. As I have said over and over, when I talk to puritans or fanatics: There are two kinds of music. Good and bad. It's not limited to genres.

;D ;D Aye, but seriously Jesper, music can be by the best musicians in that genre, but if it doesn't float yer boat, then it just doesn't move you. For example, you can tell me all day that Opera is fantastic music, but it does nothing for me, sorry. So because I love Old Time Music but usually just switch off when I hear most country & most Bluegrass, that doesn't make me a fanatic or a purist. ;D After all, I am perfectly able to appreciate that both are wonderful styles of music. Now, on the other hand, if I were to decry those forms of music as just being bad music, then I could be justly accused of being a fanatic or a purist. I'm afraid that telling me that Country & Bluegrass influence Old Time Music won't make the slightest bit of difference either. Now Blues, on the other hand has also played a huge part in helping to form Old Time & I just love that music too. In fact I'm listening to a fantastic Blues Harmonica LP right now. ( Which reminds me, I must check & see if Lasse has this one!) So to finish, I could also say that for every person there are two kinds of music: Music they like ...... & music they don't! ;D Cheers Dick

Now, Dick. I didn't mean to accuse you of being a fanatic (Quote: "To discuss with a fanatic is like pulling rope (or is it called: tug-of-war?) with somebody, who have their end of the rope tied to a tree) Opera does nothing for me either. As well as a lot of other stuff, but I seriously try not to have an oppinion about something that I don't have any knowledge about. It's like, when you serve a meal for somebody (like your children for instance) you expect them to taste the food before they say, "I don't like it". So I can get really p*ssed off if somebody switch on the autopilot, and say: "I don't like it" without giving it a chance. But when that is said, I guess I do as everybody else. As I have said somewhere else: I follow my goosebumps! And if it doesn't give me goosebumps I let it be.

HA HA Nice one Jesper. ;D All I can say is that I listened to it & it didn't float my boat, simple as that. It was just my opinion, that's all. I personally don't get upset if other folks don't happen to like my favourite music, thank goodness we all have our own likes & dislikes. I think that's one of the really cool thing about these forums, we do get a chance to voice our opinions without anyone getting too upset. For my part, it never ceases to amaze me how one person can be moved almost to orgasm over the beauty of a piece of music, while the person next to them is simply left numb, cold & unmoved by the sounds. Perhaps we shouldn't try to analize that too much, but just enjoy what we like. But then again, if we don't voice our opinions, how the heck can we ever have a discussion? Cheers Dick
