I think this is the place to show a link to DAFF. An organisation, that for about twenty years have arranged an annual gathering in Kattinge Vaerk, where dancers and musicians from Denmark and Sweden meet a weekend for dancing and playing, and jamming old time music mostly. This year an american band was invited. Troublesome Creek Stringband. I participated for the first time, and it was the best weekend I have experienced for years. And can hardly wait for next years gathering. My friend Tobias. Banjo in Big Hungry Joe, and a member of this forum, has become the new webmaster for the site which can be seen here: www.oldtime.dk/#I guess I'm not the right person to post it here, but I have thought about posting it for a long time. So, Tobias, John, Lasse and Susi, who were there. Protest if you think I am too busy here! There are photos from several gatherings, including this year, and there are recordings from some jams, from this year.

Why wouldn't you be the right person to post this link?? I'm glad you did. It's a very nice gathering, I was there for the first time last year and soooo much enjoyed it, despite having a horrible cold. And, of course, all people are invited, not only Danes and Swedes!! I'm going to invite Rosie and Gordon from Clonakilty to come with us next year!

Well when I said that I might not be the right person to bring it up, I just meant, I was there for the first time in 2007, and so many people have been working on this for about 20 years. I am happy to see, that two more members of DAFF has joined this forum, since I wrote the above. John and Axel, who are much older in this game than I am. Not that I am younger, I'm not, but I haven't been playing this kind of music, for as long as they have. I am proud to have become a member of DAFF and had the pleasure of playing for dance and jamming at Kattinge.
