The Foghorn Duo The Cherrytree, Walkinstown Cross, Dublin D12. -Tuesday 12th February - 8.30pm €15 (€13 if booked in advance) Caleb Klauder and Stephen Sammy Lind began playing music together in 2000 in Portland, Oregon. Since then they have performed traditional American old-time music all over the globe with their band the Foghorn Stringband, and other projects with banjo/vocalist Riley Baugus and multi-instrumentalist/ composer Dirk Powell. In 2004, Caleb and Sammy collaborated with world-renowned Irish fiddler Kevin Burke for a concert series held on the Oregon Coast. Their vocals are simple and honest, with intertwining harmonies similar to the Carter Family and the Stanley Brothers. Although their repertoire is mainly traditional, Caleb's stellar original songs and tunes fit right in next to any classic.

I'd love to see someone get that autoharp in tune!....Also why can't this tour include Omagh or Enniskillen?! Or Belfast on Friday or Saturday night! (I know I'm picky!)

Hey Dianne, Surely Ramelton & Belfast are both about a 90 minute drive away for you, so why not head for Ramelton on Saturday night? It'd be a shame to miss these guys, wouldn't it. Ramelton is about a 150 minute drive for me, that's why I'm heading for Belfast on Sunday night. Cheers Dick

It would be great to get to Ramelton to see them. But my husband rarely will travel 'long' distances to hear music (Omagh from Fivemiletown area he considers a long drive...) and I only have a provisional licence (I'm working on passing my test) so unless he will go I don't have transport. Maybe next time they will be closer to me.

Dianne, I must admit, I'm kind of tempted to head for Ramelton myself, because I see that they are in fact only supporting some Irish Bands at the Belfast Gig, so they probably won't be on stage for too long. Maybe it's time for me to start up my Folk Club again, around here. Cheers Dick
