Second Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival, 27-29 June

Uri Kohen, manager of Electric Cave Productions, announces that the Second Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival will be held at Westport, Co. Mayo, on the last weekend of June (Friday 27 June-Sunday 29 June) 2008.

I was so excited when I read this announcement on the BIB this morning! I can't wait to hear who will be playing at it - and maybe they will have classes too. I will likely email the organiser and harass the poor man about that!

Well I notice the Lee Vally String Band were on the guest list, last year!

Of course, lucky Susi has them on her doorstep now! ENVY

Yes, I noticed that the Lee Valley String band was on last year's line-up. I think Susi has more old time music around her than most parts of Ireland do - she is lucky! (jealous, me?! Never!)
