I just received this E-mail from Lorraine which I thought might interest some folks here.
By the way, has anyone here actually seen this duo?
If so, I'd love to hear what you thought of them & their music.
Cheers

Dana & Susan Robinson hail from Asheville, North Carolina in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains.
With riveting fiddle tunes, haunting banjo and guitar ballads, aching harmonies and songs of rural America, Dana and Susan sum up the definition of Americana.
In their new album of original songs, "Round My Door", they explore America's restless spirit and the stories within the landscape.
You may be familiar with Dana & Susan's work already as they've visited our shores regularly in the past six years or so, charming us with their "new time old time music" and a deep understanding of America's musical traditions.
Dana and Susan Robinson - UK tour May 2008 (and September 2009)
Their music explores rural America with elegant simplicity, bringing roots and tradition to contemporary song-writing. Rich, intimate harmonies are supported by Dana's powerful guitar and fiddle playing and Susan's delicate, sometimes funky, sometimes haunting mountain banjo sound.
With an eye for vivid detail, Dana's songs are stories of the American landscape; a raconteur with a rich voice; Dana is a living example of the American troubadour.
Currently hard at work touring the USA and recording a new CD, they'll be back in the UK next May.
Over the last six years of touring here they've built great good will, a solid reputation and gained many new fans.
After a years' absence from the UK music scene it's a pleasure to welcome them back!

"Many songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen or John Mellencamp have been heralded as modern day Woody Guthries or keepers of the American rural spirit, but that mantle might be better entrusted to musicians like Dana Robinson who embody both the heart and the soul of folk music." Dirty Linen
"A poet's perspective delivered in quietly spectacular musicianship...
the music sounds laid back even while his guitar licks are knocking your
socks off." Music Matters
