hey those are some scary lookin geezers!!! Was that fron this year?? I'd love to get some pics and vids if people have them....you know for posterity. We're the worst darn band for documenting our history. All we usually have to show for a weekend away is a sore head, a crick in the neck and an empty wallet.

My guess is that you have run into the filter robot ;D I have had a couple of meetings with that thing. I guess that's why my karma is down -1. I said sh*t and it changed it to 'banjo'. So when I say banjo from now on, you know what I really mean ;D And when I in another subject mentioned the moviedirector Alfred Hitchc*ck it changed it to Hitchcatapult! A very peculiar thing. And for heavens sake don't say sp**ns. It doesn't like that eating devise either ;D Must be a dirty word in somebody's mind.

Hello Tim, I took that photo in 2006. Unfortunately that's the only one I have & I couldn't go this year as I was working most of that weekend ... ah well, there's always next year. Have you played much with Moonshine yet, since you moved over there? Cheers Dick P.S. There is a filter all right & I could switch it off, but I have been on Forums before where anything goes & I must say I don't particularly like to see a lot of F'ing & B'ing, so I decided to just swop the offending words for daft ones, or musical instruments. That explains why it looks like so many folks like to mention Banjos here ...... let's face it, there had to be a good reason for that, didn't there! ;D

I understand it so very well, Dick. I don't mind, but really.... sp**ns and Hitchc*ck. It's ridiculous. I didn't even know I was using dirty words. And now my karma is down -1. And I came here innocent, and with the best intensions. It annoys me, that some machine treats me like some kind of criminal on an unjust basis.

Hello there, Yes, I must admit, I'm not up on street slang either, so I had to check the Urban Dictionary to find out what poon & some of the other words on the list meant. It's a pity about the techno confusion & reminds me of another sight which can't see the difference between Antrim the Town & Antrim the County ..... the joys of the Net! ;D Anyway, given that I've no idea what sort of folks sign up to this site & bearing in mind that I am keen to encourage all age groups, who are interested in playing this music, to visit this site, I prefer to keep bad language, accidental or otherwise, under some sort of control. Sorry. As for your Karma, I found the neutralizer on your profile, so you'll be pleased to know your back to normal ....... you were normal before, weren't you? ;D You can blame my Protestant upbringing, if you like. To give you some idea, the only time I have ever heard my Dad, who is Diabetic, swear, is when he goes Hypo! Cheers Dick P.S. This guy, from your part of the World I think, just joined our MySpace - it'd be interesting to see how the site handled this musician's name!!!!! Check it out: Redbaron

Thank you for neutralising my karma. I appreciate that ;D And yes I was normal before, and have been all along, as far as I know I have got an explanation why sp**ns is a dirty word. I have a friend who work in an american company in Denmark, and I have told him this little absurd story, and he has talked to an american collegue who have been living in Denmark for some years and have become fairly "normal" according to him. He said that in America the word sp**n can be associated with the term "lying in sp**ns" like the tools in a drawer, you know? And as he said: " You can imagine alle sorts of things you can do, when when two persons lye in that posission with another person. And american companies are scared that some parents will sue the company for millions of $, if their child comes across the word on the internet, and are 'marked for life' because of that." I mean, isn't that weird? I can't imagine a child getting that sort of associations. It's all in the mind of the adults. That's where the dirty minds are located. My anscestors were the first reformed people, the Huguenots, who were slaughtered by the Catolics. My father was against religion. According to him religion was the root af all evil, and the reason for too much blodshed and wars up through history, so neither my brother nor I have been babtised. But as he said, when you are without religion, you have an extra obligation to behave yourself, and treat other people well. Treat them as you want to be treated yourself. All in all a christian way, which much too many so called christians forget to follow. I don't get it. Well, enough philsosophy for one night. Back to the music. Cheers and thanks Jesper "Banjo" ;D

hello again. Hard to believe, but I haven't been back since that initial post....sorry about that.
To answer your question about Moonshine, Dick....I've played a bit w/ them. Called my first square dance about a year ago. Also Lena has played the Sunday old time session at both Westport Folk and Bluegrass festivals so far.
I'll try to keep visiting this fine site...........keep up the good work
