Hello All We just picked up the Big Hungry Joe CD fresh from the factory today. Now we need to get some things ready for the official release (which we hope will be in the end of may or beginning of june) We will be getting pretty good distribution on the CD and we are putting together some pressreleases and want to send some copies of for reviews. Does anyone know any magazines (Irish, Swedish, American etc. ) that might be worth sending a copy for reviewing? We allready plan to contact: Rootszone (DK), Oldtime Herald (US), Sing Out (US). But there must be more out there that might be interested in reviewing (good...or bad. ) an oldtime music CD. Any suggestions? /Tobias

Hi Tobias,
Here are some: fRoots (UK), Folkworld (Germany), Trad Magazine (France), Musical Traditions (online, UK), The Living Tradition (UK). There's Penguin Eggs in Canada. I would also say in the US to try Dirty Linen, Bluegrass Unlimited, Banjo Newsletter, rambles.net (online). Also check out Green Man Review, FAME, Dusted, Rootsworld and Folkwax.
I just finished doing the same as you. Good luck! Thanks for alerting me to Rootszone.
Yours, Hunter

CONGRATULATIONS
That's great news Tobias. I can't wait to hear it.
Sorry, I don't know of any other good magazines, apart from the ones already mentioned above.
Of course, you should send a copy to Richard Hawkins, over at the Bluegrass Ireland Blog. A good review from him on both his Bluegrass Ireland Blog & on his European Bluegrass Blog, would I'm sure, carry a lot of weight.
Good luck with the reviews, I have no doubt at all that they will all be glowing tributes to your combined musicianship.
Cheers Dick
